Travels
This is the 401st post on this blog!!
This month looks like that in terms of travelling/holiday:
- End of this week I’m going to Italy until early August. A well deserved (or not so well deserved
) break from busy London. - Mid-August we (housemates and other friends) are travelling to Jersey, one of the channel island, where a friend from Uni grew up!
In between I’m writing a paper about connecting lattice theory and information theory/information leakage more about this later … maybe. Sometimes I wonder how I ended up here
Bombay Bad Boy Flavour .. what?!
One sticker makes all the difference!
Weird balls and hard hats
I’ve been to bricklane and spitalfields market today. Always nice wandering around and looking at the odd things they sell, from fake fireplaces to old barbie dolls. In front of some store I found these huge balls, no idea what fruit that is. Anyone?

Also, I thought there’s only black and whit hats, apparently there’s also hard ones:
Rainiac
I noticed there are mainly two types of rain in the UK:
- The light rain where you have to check twice whether it’s really raining. You don’t get wet even without umbrella however it’s miserably damp or cold or both and you want to generally spend as little time as possible outside
- The heavy rain which magically gets you wet even with umbrella. I haven’t figured out how it works exactly and I don’t care too much about it anyway.
Today was a type 2 rain.
Signs
I like to snap pictures of signs .. and bars especially tend to be creative in their WC women/men signing. While googling for it (yes, I was actually searching for WC signs…) I found the service WC Signs 4u — they offer customised toilet signs. Anyway, yesterday I came across one which I found quite funny. Needless to say, that’s the women’s toilet.
