On Friday I went to The Green restaurant in Clerkenwell. Downstairs it’s a normal, crowded gastro pub with wooden interior. Upstairs is the restaurant with maybe 7-8 tables. Looking at the menu I already lost hope a bit .. sounded like your average English offer with sausages, fishcakes (buah!) and puddings. But I was very surprised once the food arrived. Let me try to recall what I had .. I had the goat cheese tart on a salad and then a grilled chicken breast with a very good risotto. Fantastic food with good service.
