o god that think looks scary!!! i dont think i woudve touched that thing, i did eat it though once when i was in Bangkok in this excellent 5 star hotels i ate it and it was pretty good, in the hotel restaurant. twas good.

I’ve probably built up a resistance to blue cheese/stilton/smelly goodness: can I have some more please.
But when I eat a food for the first time in a large quantity I usually have very vivid dreams.

This is the cool. The book is already now a part of history, let alone in, say, 50 years or so.

My oldest computer language book is a Smalltalk/V book from 1986. It’s also very cute, in a hard technical kind of way.

the sink troubles may be true…but the english have such cute accents that it cancels out any bathroom faucet design follies that they may be responsible for.

My guess is the point in those is to put the plug there and load the basin full of water, while juggling the taps to get suitable temperature. Then wash in order: face, hands, etc.

Meanwhile, the (rest of the) civilized world uses a clever system where the hot + cold pipes are connected into one gizmo which has the water mixer - one handle controls the temperature! Amazing, and very space-age.
