Thames Stuff

with one comment

I went to the Thames Festival on Saturday. The south bank of the river between Westminster and Tower bridge is filled up with booths and stalls, music and food stuff, etc. Here the view on OXO Tower to the right, St. Paul’s cathedral and the gherkin in the background.

There was also a big area where you could get second hand books. I liked this one:

Some of the bridges were closed for traffic and had been converted to a huge banquet.

  1. The guy who wrote is a doctor.

A doctor, I say. As in an academic degree. As in someone who really knows his shit (no pun intended).

I was too confused to even google up what he did his thesis on. I suspect something about how consuming massive amounts of yellow onions and lettuce contribute to foul-odorous flatulence, but, frankly, I did not want to be proven right.
