Britain’s TV: Freaks and Fiction

leave a comment »

In my new flat I’m exposed to British TV. I will briefly summarise my one week experience of it.

Of course there’s all kinds of shows like Friends and stuff .. but then the really interesting thing are the British (or American) documentaries.

This week I saw Britain’s Biggest Babies. Basically, it’s all about extremely big and fat babies getting fed by their extremely fat and ugly mothers. I can’t really decide which one was my favorite scene: when the mothers went to scan their huge bellies with ultrasonic or when the huge twin mutant had to get an emergency caesarian.

Now, seamless switch to Ice Road Truckers. It’s about professional extreme truck drivers, driving on the extremely dangerous roads of the Artic. Only few centimeters of thin, crackling ice separate the 50 ton truckload from the cold and certain death. The roads are very dangerous and the men pretty tough to say the least.

By the way, I typed this all up while listening to Coolio on Celebrity Big Brother schooling the other housemates on the difference between hoes, bitches, and regular women.

Can’t wait for tomorrow’s Half Ton Son. Looked disgusting.
